These cookies are always a party favorite. If you are looking for a way to spice up the regular cookies here are a few other choices.

  • Devils food cake mix with peanut butter chips (no frosting)
  • Snickerdoodles - yellow cake mix, stir in 2 tsp. cinnamon and roll top of the dough balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture
  • Red velvet cake mix with cream cheese frosting
  • 1 pkg. white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ can of cake frosting
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl mix cake mix, oil, and eggs with a spoon until mix is moistened.
  3. Shape dough into one-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten the balls.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown.
  5. Cool one minute then remove from cookie sheet.
  6. Frost immediately while cookies are warm. Let frosting harden.

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 sleeve cinnamon graham crackers
  1. Combine butter and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to boil and boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Line graham crackers on baking sheet.
  3. Pour mixture over crackers.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
  5. Cool & separate.

Don't mix ingredients (Dump instead)

  • 1 lg. can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease 9x13 inch cake pan.
  3. Dump in undrained pineapple & spread to cover corners.
  4. Dump in cherry pie filling & even it around.
  5. Dump in cake mix and sprinkle it to cover evenly.
  6. Scatter nuts over cake mix.
  7. Cut margarine into patties & place on top.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for almost 1 hour or until nicely browned.

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 bag Kraft caramels
  • 1 16 oz. bag of chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cups English walnuts
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix cake mix as it says on the box
  3. Place 1/2 of the cake batter in bottom of 9x13 in. cake pan
  4. Bake for 15 minutes
  5. In small sauce pan melt  butter, cream and caramels.
  6. Pour the mixture over cooked cake while hot.
  7. Top with chocolate and walnuts.
  8. Pour the rest of the cake batter over the top of mixture.
  9. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until sides of cake pull way from the pan.
